Acknowledgment of Risks and Assumption of Liability

I, the undersigned angler, acknowledge that I am participating in fishing activities at this salmon fishery entirely at my own risk. I understand and acknowledge that fishing, wading, and related activities involve inherent risks and dangers that may result in serious injury or death.

I Specifically Acknowledge the Following Risks:

Water-Related Hazards:

• Drowning due to slipping, falling, or being swept away by river/currents
• Hypothermia from cold water exposure
• Unpredictable water levels, currents, and underwater obstacles
• Slippery rocks, uneven surfaces, and hidden hazards beneath the water
• Water conditions that can change rapidly

Fishing Equipment Hazards:

• Injury from fishing hooks, lures, and tackle
• Cuts from sharp fishing equipment or tools
• Eye injuries from casting lines or flies
• Entanglement in fishing lines or nets

Environmental Hazards:

• Unstable banks, loose rocks, and steep terrain
• Wildlife encounters (cattle, insects, etc.)
• Weather conditions including storms, lightning, and extreme temperatures
• Poisonous plants and allergens
• Remote location with limited access to emergency services
• Overhead powerlines — electrical shock risk

General Risks:

• Accidents while walking on uneven terrain
• Falls and trips on wet or slippery surfaces
• Cuts, bruises, and other injuries from natural and man-made objects
• Getting lost or separated from the group

Waiver and Release

In consideration of being permitted to fish at this salmon fishery, I hereby:

1. ASSUME ALL RISKS associated with fishing activities, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen.
2. RELEASE AND DISCHARGE the fishery owner, operators, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising from my participation in fishing activities.
3. WAIVE ALL CLAIMS for damages, injuries, or losses that I may sustain while participating in fishing activities, including but not limited to those caused by the negligence of the released parties.
4. HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY the fishery and its representatives from any liability, claims, or expenses arising from my actions or participation.

Safety Acknowledgments

I acknowledge that:

• I have been advised to wear appropriate safety equipment including life jackets when wading & use a wading stick, and eye protection
• I am responsible for my own safety and the safety of any minors in my care
• I will follow all posted rules and regulations
• I will not fish alone and will inform others of my location
• I will check weather conditions and water levels before entering the water
• I have adequate swimming ability for the conditions present
• I will not consume alcohol or drugs while fishing
• I am physically capable of participating in these activities

Rules and Regulations Agreement

I agree to abide by all fishery rules including:

• Fishing license requirements and bag limits
• Designated fishing areas and access points
• Catch and release policies where applicable
• Respect for property and other anglers
• Environmental protection measures
